Thumbs up for this setup! Are there, or will there be, abilities or effects to switch from one stance to another, extend number of strikes in a stance or otherwise deviate from the workflow you showed in here?

First, thank you for the compliment! To answer your question, there will be abilities to effect stances in ways that make them behave other than the 2 blow pattern. Flick in Maneuvers (not decreasing the number of stance blows left) is a taste of what's to come on that front. Most of the stance manipulation is in the third tier, which wasn't revealed in this update.

It can also be advantageous to cut a stance short, or not close it at all depending on the stance and available attacks to you. It's pretty flexible, really, before you even get into some of the stance manipulation that's coming.
